DXCompass
Version 2.0 • Released August 15, 2026 •
Windows 10/11 • .NET Framework 4.0 or later
DXCompass places the geographic and operating information needed for
DX work into one clear display. Select a DXCC entity, resolve a
callsign through optional QRZ XML lookup, or supply a Maidenhead grid
to obtain an immediate heading, distance, time, and map presentation.
Principal capabilities
- Calculates true short-path and long-path beam headings.
- Reports great-circle distance in miles and kilometers.
- Displays the destination's DXCC entity, primary prefix,
continent, CQ zone, ITU zone, coordinates, UTC offset, and
resolved grid.
- Shows home local time, UTC, and estimated DX local time and date.
- Plots the path on a location-specific azimuthal map with zoom and
automatic map fitting.
- Displays a live UTC-based grayline overlay with distinct daylight,
civil-twilight, and nighttime regions.
- Projects the geographic point where the Sun is directly overhead
and automatically adjusts destination-label contrast for daylight
and darkness.
- Synchronizes the Grayline control between the main map and the
larger MapZoom window while retaining the operator's preference.
- Provides a guided workflow for creating and registering custom
station-centered azimuthal maps.
- Copies a formatted heading and distance summary to the Windows
clipboard.
- Includes AD1C country data and a working K0MLD demonstration
configuration and map profile.

K0MLD History Viewer for WSJT-X
Version 1.0 • Released August 14, 2026 •
Windows 10/11 • 32-bit application •
.NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile or later
K0MLD History Viewer for WSJT-X provides a practical way to locate
previously recorded activity involving another station, even when
WSJT-X history has been divided among conventional, yearly, or monthly
files.
Principal capabilities
- Scans the selected WSJT-X history directory for ALL.TXT,
YYYY-ALL.TXT, and YYYY-MM-ALL.TXT source files.
- Reads every applicable source, removes duplicate records by
comparing the complete original line, and sorts unique records
chronologically.
- Builds a consolidated ALL_HISTORY.TXT at startup, after a directory
change, and before every search.
- Uses ALL_HISTORY.NEW for atomic replacement so a failed or cancelled
rebuild does not destroy the previous completed master.
- Searches for records containing both the requested callsign and the
station owner's callsign.
- Optionally restricts results to a selected UTC QSO date.
- Color-codes received, transmitted, and other matching history
records for easier review.
- Reports files examined, source records read, duplicates removed,
unique records written, available date range, and search matches.
- Operates locally and never modifies the original WSJT-X history
files.
